The actor, most famous for his roles in 1987’s “Dirty Dancing” and the 1990 film “Ghost,” has lost his near two-year fight with pancreatic cancer, per his publicist. He was 57. Swayze continued to work even after his disease was publicly revealed in March 2008. He starred in A&E’s The Beast, and said he was working on a memoir with his wife. In September 2008, Swayze appeared on Stand Up To Cancer, a charity event that raised money and awareness for cancer and cancer research.
My heart goes out to his fans and family.
